About Event
Code Survival is an inter-college team-based coding competition designed to test participants’ logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork in a dynamic and engaging environment. The event focuses on evaluating how efficiently teams can think, code, and adapt under time pressure while following given constraints.
The competition consists of multiple rounds with increasing complexity, aimed at assessing coding fundamentals, coordination between team members, and adherence to rules.
Eligibility & Team Guidelines
Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all colleges.
Inter-college teams are allowed.
Inter-specialization teams are allowed.
Each team must consist of exactly 2 members.
A participant can register for only one team.
Event Format
Total Rounds: 3
Number of Questions:
Multiple problems in early rounds
Single problem in advanced rounds
Duration: Each round will be time-bound (exact timings will be announced on the event day).
Allowed Programming Languages: C, C++, Java, Python
Rules
Internet usage is strictly prohibited during the contest.
Use of AI tools or external assistance is not allowed.
Only standard input and output must be used.
Participants must follow all instructions given by the coordinators and judges.
Any form of malpractice, plagiarism, or rule violation may lead to penalties or disqualification.
The decision of the judges and organizing committee will be final and binding.

Round 1 – Pattern Printing
Number of Questions: 3–5 pattern-based problems
Difficulty Level: Easy to Medium
Duration: 20–30 minutes
Focuses on logic, loops, and output formatting.
Round 2 – Hurdle Coding Relay
Number of Questions: 1 coding problem
Difficulty Level: Easy to Medium
Duration: 25–40 minutes
Team members code alternately, with surprise hurdles introduced during the round.
Round 3 – Navigator & Coder
Number of Questions: 1 problem with edge cases
Difficulty Level: Medium
Duration: 20–30 minutes
One member acts as the navigator (guides verbally), while the other codes without viewing the screen.
